This Month: Time to Register for Fall 2016 and Summer Programs

It's been a wonderful year for Blacksburg Chinese School, but we couldn't have done it without you, our loyal friends. Thank you for those who joined us for the End-of-Year Festival. We had a great time! With your financial support, we were able to pay for the room rental+food and still make $51.

*$416(collection)-$245(food)-$120(rental) = $51

We were honored to have 3 of our 5 Board Members (Dr. Wang, Dr. Zhang and Ms. Fu) and their families joined us. Students’ self-directed performances received many applauses. Many thanks to our parents and teachers for their hard work and support!

2016-2017 Chinese Language Programs

Register Today for Fall 2016 (We will order textbooks very soon.)

  • Happy Chinese Level 1/2/3 - These courses are designed for age 4-12 children with NO/little Chinese background. Come join us every week for 60/90 minutes to explore Chinese language and culture through games, songs, poems, traditional crafts and more! Learning Chinese is fun and simple!

  • Heritage Chinese Level 1/2/3/4/5/6 中文母语班- These courses are designed for age 5+ children with basic Mandarin listening and speaking ability. The objective is to introduce Chinese characters along with 5000 years of Chinese history and culture, enhance students' ability of reading and writing skills, and broaden their global perspectives. These courses will also prepare students to successfully complete Chinese I-IV courses in middle/high school and easily meet foreign language requirement. For advanced students, these courses can also help them prepare Advanced Placement Chinese exam (AP Chinese is a rigorous college level course equivalent to a fourth semester college course in Mandarin Chinese).
